wait for everyone to arrive at a Pack or Den Meeting. (An idea you could use would be to reward the
cub scouts a piece of candy if they get it right).

"The Case of the ______________ (adjective) Leader"
With this

the blanks. Then read it to everyone.
(It was a dreary day in March when I arrived
at my ____________(noun) to find a/an ___________(adjective) den of Cub Scouts
waiting for me. I tried to calm them
down, but, well, you know Cub Scouts. I said, "Have a/an

problem. The leader's hair was _______________ (adjective), with tons of crafts
supplies like _____________(Plural noun) and _____________ (Plural noun)
sticking out of it. "Did you just
come from a den meeting?" I asked.
The Cub Scouts nodded. "______________ (exclamation)," I
cried. "I know just what

_______________(adjective) problem. It
seems like a case of hyper-craft-itis.

craft activities. You're lucky you came
to me to solve this mystery when you did, Cub Scouts. Good work.
